LMT – Leading Metalworking Technologies

Modern, high-performance materials make road vehicles safer, aircraft lighter and engines more efficient. Machining materials such as high-strength steels, alloys of aluminum, magnesium and or titanium, plastics and composite materials nevertheless places the highest possible demands on the tool technology.

Web seminar on innovations in die and mould making

The machining of hard materials is permanently on the agenda in die and mould making, a sector that produces very precise moulds used in the manufacture of complex components – for example, in the automobile industry. This explains why users focus a lot of attention on the precision tools used and questions such as: Which innovations deliver greater efficiency in machining? An LMT Web seminar outlines the different options.

Tailormade coatings for die and mould making

Modern, high strength materials take even superhard cutting materials to the limit, which is why high-performance coatings are so important. They provide “staying power” and significantly boost performance in many industrial applications. It is therefore only logical that this principle is now also increasingly being applied in die and mould making.
